Video Work
Crafting a music video exploring power dynamics in the music industry from a female perspective was a deeply enriching experience. Conversations with the client delved into nuanced aspects of gender inequality and empowerment, enriching my understanding of their vision. Infusing my style into the narrative allowed me to bring a fresh perspective, blending visual storytelling with thematic depth. It was a collaborative journey, navigating through layers of meaning to create a piece that resonated authentically with the client's message while reflecting my artistic sensibilities. This process not only challenged me creatively but also fostered a profound connection to the subject matter.
Process
Translating the conceptual depth of the music video into tangible visuals began with sketching each shot on notecards. This hands-on approach allowed for a meticulous exploration of composition and narrative flow, ensuring every frame conveyed the desired emotional resonance.
Collaborating closely with the client, decisions regarding lighting, props, cameras, and sets were carefully curated to amplify the thematic essence of each scene. Delegating these elements involved a delicate balance of creativity and practicality, with a keen focus on enhancing the storytelling while adhering to logistical constraints.
It was a process of harmonizing artistic vision with technical execution, ultimately bringing the music video to life with authenticity and impact.
